One cold day a UPS driver by the name of Gavin Crowsley saw a Great Dane that was so under nourished, he thought it was a sickly dalmation at first. Despite being very busy in the middle of his route, he knew he had to stop and help.
“I could see every bone in his body,” he told his boss. “He was just lying there. I knew if that dog didn’t die from starvation, he was going to die from the weather. I didn’t want to have a confrontation, but I couldn’t just leave him there.”
The driver stopped and called the Humane Society, who came and helped the Dane just a few minutes later. After 7 months he has gained 90 pounds and become a happy, healthy dog.
When Phoenix was found, he was only 70lbs
He became a different dog after he was reunited with the UPS driver that saved him.
He got all the way up to a healthy 160lbs, and was happy.
Despite being deaf and blind in one eye, he was a much happier dog.
He and his new owner loving life.
